How much do brands donate when I shop with them?
Most brands pay a percentage of what you spend with them as a donation, for example if you spend £150 on a hotel via booking.com, they will donate 3% which is £4.50. Some retailers pay a flat amount, for example is you buy car insurance with confused.com, they will donate a flat £15 regardless of the cost of the policy.
How many brands partner with easyfundraising?
They work with over 8,100 brands.
Are they brands I would normally shop with?
There is a comprehensive range of brands – from supermarkets to online auction sites! In fact, pretty much any kind of shop is covered. To see which brands are currently offering donations, just take a look by clicking here.
Why do brands donate?
Brands are always looking for people to come to their websites to browse their products and offers. Those brands pay a commission if the people sent to their website go on to make a purchase.
How does easyfundraising make money?
Brands pay a commission when a sale is made on their website from a customer who has come via easyfundraising. They pass on at least 50% of that commission to the cause you have chosen to support. The donation amount you see on their website, app or browser extension is the amount they pay across to the cause.
They also make money from advertising retailer offers and promotions in emails and on their website.
Is there a browser extension?
Yes! Once you have an account set up on easyfundraising, you will have the option to install their browser extension which they call their ‘Donation Reminder’. It will pop up on every retailer site where a donation is available, which means you don’t have to remember to come to easyfundraising first!
Is there an App?
Yes! You can download the easyfundraising App from the Apple or Google Play stores.
Will using easyfundraising impact my loyalty points on websites I shop with?
No, for the main loyalty point providers the collection of points is unaffected when you shop via easyfundraising. If you want to double check a specific website or retailer, drop them a note at support@easyfundraising.org.uk.
Can I choose to support more than one cause?
You can only select one cause at a time for your donations to be added to, but you can change this as often as you like.
How does the cause I support get paid the donations?
Once a quarter, each cause is sent the donations which have been paid out by the brands. A cause needs to hit a minimum threshold of £15 before a payment is triggered.
Does using easyfundraising make my online spend more expensive?
No. It does not add any cost to your online shopping. The brands cover the cost of the donation, meaning it’s 100% free for you to use!
